You are free to explore our websites without providing any personal information about yourself. When you visit our websites, subscribe to communications, or make a donation, we request that you provide personal information about yourself, and we collect navigational information.

Wycliffe Associates collects the following information through our website:

  • Information that you provide to us through online forms, which may include your name, address, email address, and phone number, as well as information related to your involvement in Wycliffe Associates ministries.

Email Frequency

Wycliffe Associates sends the following types of emails:

  • eInvolved is a monthly newsletter that features project updates and devotions from our blog.
  • Prayer Watch is a monthly email that shares with you the most critical prayer needs of our team and partners of national translators and local churches doing the work of Bible translation. We sometimes send additional alerts when an urgent prayer need arises.
  • Opportunities is a twice monthly email that provides new opportunities to apply your skills and experience to the support of Bible translation in volunteer and paid positions.
  • We also periodically send news of financial needs to accelerate Bible translation by supporting translators in crisis, churches struck by natural disaster, projects stalled by equipment shortage, and similar situations.

Security

Wycliffe Associates is committed to ensuring the security of your personal information. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the proper use of information, we have established and implemented appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. Wycliffe Associates uses Internet Encryption Software, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Protocol when collecting or transferring sensitive data such as credit card information or ACH information. Any information you enter is encrypted at your browser, sent over the public Internet in encrypted form, and then de-encrypted at our server. Software Applications Privacy Policy

Wycliffe Associates builds all software applications on BibleTranslationTools.org  as Open Source apps. This software is provided by Wycliffe Associates at no cost and is intended for use as is.

This page is used to inform website visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information for users who decide to use our Software.

If you choose to use our Software, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Software. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

Audio Recording

BTT Recorder and BTT Exchanger allow you to record and edit audio which requires access to your microphone. Audio recorded by BTT Recorder is stored locally on your device, and these recordings are not collected by us. You may choose to share these files with third-party apps, sites, or services. Note that these apps, sites, or services are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these apps, sites, or services. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party apps, sites, or services.

Log Data

We want to inform you that whenever you use our Software, in a case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through third party products) on your device called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Software, the time and date of your use of the Software, and other statistics.

Service Providers

We may employ third-party companies and individuals due to the following reasons:

  • To facilitate our Software;
